Multi-Genre Paper Proposal

The topic that I want to do are hallucinogens. The reason I want to do this is because different types of hallucinogens have been used throughout all of history and different cultures, and I want to dive in and read about peoples experiences with all types of the drugs. I was recently reading a Harvard research article that came to the conclusion that when you are on psilocybin, the active chemical in shrooms, the areas in your brain that are triggered are very much the same if not EXACTLY the same as a spiritual experience. Very interesting.
I am not sure where this topic will lead me. But as I am very interested in psychology I assume I will end up diving deep into how different hallucinogens effect the brain. I also would like to see how cultures used hallucinogens for spiritual purposes, and the experiences they had.

multi genre paper response

I read the multigenre paper response on "Mythology to Reality." I was very confused about what I was reading and it really didn't make sense. But as requested I read it and posted about reading it. In the paper she talked about teaching a class, and interpreted her dreams after writing about them.

DOING SOMETHING THAT MATTERS

FLASH FARMING
This idea of "Flash Farming" was very unique. Although it did win a $50,000 award, I was very confused on why. The creator presented no way of how he was going to continue to fund these clearly expensive farming equipment. $50,000 would in no way be enough to go forward with all of his goals, I could only see him helping in the short term, and not providing a long term solution.

DRINK BEER. SAVE THE WORLD
I loved this project these guys are working on. This is the first pub that I have heard of that even thought to do a non-profit organization. considering alcohol is one of the top commodities in the United States, the sales for their beer are going to be astronomical compared to something like girl scout cookies, which is another non-profit entity. Everyone loves beer, and everyone loves to know they are helping someone in need. Combining these two knowns was very unique and I love it. This story caught my attention because I love beer.(although I have never tried it... ever) although I never have, here is an interesting article to justify IF I did.

COFFEE FOR LIFE
I also loved the idea behind this project. I myself want to open a coffee shop/roasterie one day. I have never thought about doing it for non-profit purposes, but it is something I am considering now. Coffee is one of the most consumed beverages in the world and it seems no matter where there is a coffee shop, they are making money. To use that money towards anti-human trafficking purposes is an amazing unique idea that I may steal an alter in my future. More than likely a coffee house that helps to house orphans, and put orphans in good homes.
